Jio, also known as Reliance Jio and officially as Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited, is an upcoming provider of mobile telephony, broadband services, and digital services in India.Now Reliance Jio Doesn’t needs any explanation. Everyone is aware of it if you are our daily visitor. We are sharing some important Jio Updates in this post & Some important things you must need to know if you use Jio.
What is Jio Prime Membership?
As you all know previous year, Reliance introduced their plans and shifted to paid service from free services. They introduced a “Prime” Membership which has been essential to recharge if you were a Jio User, if a new Jio User.
Jio Prime was offering additional benefits to all their users, such as 100% Cashback offer of Jio on recharges above Rs 398, etc. Jio Prime has offered Free Subscriptions to all of their apps such as JioTV, JioCinema, JioMusic, Etc. It come for Rs 99 for a year subscription (or till 31st March, 2018).
Jio Prime Update: Free for another 1 year
Jio announced that all Jio Prime Users can get another 1 year of free Prime Services till 31st March, 2019 at no additional cost who have opted for Jio Prime on or before 31st March, 2018. But new users who wanted to opt for Jio Prime has to pay an yearly fee of Rs 99 as per the press release by Jio.
How to Avail Free Jio Prime for 1 Year?
- Open MyJio App
- Goto Prime Option
- Click on Get Complementary Prime
- That’s it! Your Prime will be extended for an year.
Note – Option will be available by 12 Noon, 31st March in MyJio App
What will happen to Jio Prime after 31st March?
Now the question is arising that the users are again need to recharge for Rs 99 (Jio Prime Recharge) after 31st March to continue their services? What will happen to Jio Sim card & Jio ongoing recharge packs if Jio Prime Membership ends?
As per the Sources, there is a news that Jio would might extend Prime Membership for more time to give their users enough time to recharge for Prime Membership or as a free gift to their users as they are known for.
These two possible scenarios are there right now, but its strongly believed that Jio would make Jio Prime Membership recharge a one-time only, and those who have recharged it already would get extended period for more period.
